DI Blow Opticians was first established in 1976 by Derek Blow with the first practice being the Sutton-in-Ashfield branch, to our present number of 13 Independent Optical outlets positioned throughout the Nottinghamshire / Derbyshire region.

It has been run as a family business ever since, with Robert Blow first joining the company in 1979 and taking over full control in 1999 when Derek Blow retired.

D.I.Blow’s policy has always been to provide the highest standard of professional eyecare, a personal and friendly service with good value for money.

As an Independent Optician D.I.Blow’s are very much part of the community and have always provided reliable eyecare.

We have over 20 qualified Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians who provide the best possible eyecare. You will receive professional advice on keeping your eyes and vision in the best possible condition by professionals that have been with D.I.Blow’s for many years.

We also have our own laboratory, where our lab technicians are able to both keep standards to the highest possible and give the quickest service possible with a daily delivery to all our branches.

We also believe our spectacle choice is the very best possible with over 20 designer brands stocked and frames priced to suit all budgets.

It is also our policy to provide free eyecare to children with a free NHS eye examination and Free Spectacles if required with an extensive choice of frames.
